GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- - The 8th Annual Passion 4 Hope Craft and Vendor Fair has announced their beneficiary for 2017 is the Grant a Wish Program.
This fair is packed with vendors selling all different kinds of unique crafts. The fair has benefited local non-profits like Relay4Life and Hope West in the past. This year the recipient of the donations is the Grant a Wish program, which has been around since 2008. This organization provides scholarships to the youth in Western Colorado for programs or activities they like. These range from things like dance classes to sports lessons. "Studies show children that are at risk are 70% more likely to succeed and not participate in that at risk behavior if they are partnered with positive peers and role models," says Mackenzie Dodge of the Grant a Wish program.
The Grant a Wish program has provided over 80 scholarships this year alone. The Annual Passion 4 Hope Craft and Vendor Fair will be held again next year.
