Front Range Teen Facing Murder Charges Enters Plea

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - A Front Range teenager accused in the murder of his former girlfriend entered into a plea Thursday night.

Tanner Flores, 19, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping charges for the disappearance and death of Ashley Doolittle, 18, in June of 2016.

Investigators say Flores admitted to shooting Doolittle in the head twice in Carter Lake before he allegedly drove her body down to family-owned property just outside of Collbran.

He will now be sent to a state mental hospital in Pueblo for a mental health evaluation.
