RIFLE, Colo. - New developments in the oil and gas industry are coming to the Western Slope, but before the ground is struck, the Bureau of Land Management is interested in what you have to say.

This proposal made by Terra Rocky Mountain LLC proposes to build 63 new oil and gas wells and believes this increase in production will bring 120 billion cubic feet of natural gas for the next 40 years.

The BLM tells us that oil and gas development on their lands in Colorado has contributed $2.9 billion dollars towards the state economy and supported over 13,000 jobs in 2016.

"The best thing you can do is look at the proposal that's online and give us any specific feedback or concerns that they may have", says David Boyd the Public Affairs Specialist for the BLM.

If you'd like to provide a comment on the project, their email is blm_co_si_mail@blm.gov.

Comments need to be received by February 8th of this year, and if you prefer sending a letter rather than an email, that address is 2300 River Frontage Rd, Silt, CO 81652.
