FRUITA, Colo. - Come the holiday season, a visit with Santa Claus is a must for many kids.
Saturday morning, some lucky kids got to have breakfast with him and dinosaurs at dinosaur journey in Fruita.
About 100 people came out to enjoy the per-historic giants and a performance from the Adagio Dance Academy.
"No better way than to be part of the community and welcome the holiday season than have Santa Claus come here and enjoy the community with breakfast and be able to see the kids." said Peter Booth, the executive director for the Museums of Western Colorado.
Children got to hear story time from Mr. Claus and hang out with his elves as well, who were pretty tired from the early journey south.
"It's a very dangerous ride from here to the North Pole." Eli Haan, one of Santa's elves said.
