Candidates Verified for District 51 School Board

Six people seeking seats in three districts will appear on November ballot

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - School District 51 is announcing the names of a half dozen people running as candidates for the school board.

Administrators say each candidate collected at least 50 petition signatures from registered Mesa County voters and turned in their completed petitions by September 1.

The Mesa County Elections Office has verified both the petitions and signatures, so the six candidates will be listed on the November 7 ballot.

The candidates running for District C are Ted Brewster and John Williams, those running for the District D seat are Tom Parrish and Dusti Reimer, and the candidates running for District E are Amy Davis and Tom Keenan.

School board members are elected to serve four-year terms and are limited to a maximum of two full terms.
