Director of GJ Regional Airport Ready for Departure

Kip Turner is stepping down from his position later this month

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - After filling the position for roughly a year, the executive director of the Grand Junction Regional Airport has decided to move on.

Kip Turner told airport officials on Friday that he is stepping down at the end of the month to accept 'an attractive offer' elsewhere.

Board Chairman Rick Taggart said Turner will start his new position in June, but has agreed to remain available for consultation until the airport board finds a replacement.

Turner issued a statement saying in part:  "GJT has a tremendous amount of potential and opportunity for continued growth and success and no doubt will be a key part of the Colorado aviation infrastructure that help serves the Western Slope for many more years to come."
