GJ Regional Airport Gets New Executive Director

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Grand Junction Regional Airport Authority named Colorado native Angela Padalecki, as the new executive director.

She's replacing Kip Turner, who left in June 2017 to become Director of Aviation at the Eagle County Regional Airport.

Padalecki has worked for Denver International Airport since 2013, and is currently the Director of Airline Affairs.

During her time at DIA she also served as a Senior Advisor to the Chief Financial Officer.

Airport Authority board members said it was her experience with non-aviation revenue building that set her apart from the other candidates, David Bird and Donald DeGraw, who were also being considered for the position.

In response to her appointment, Padalecki released a statement that said in part: "I am honored and excited to lead the Grand Junction Regional Airport and work with stakeholders to maximize the value of the airport to the community."

She will begin her duties as executive director starting on January 8, 2018.
