Glenwood Springs Man Dies in UTV Accident

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo.- - A Glenwood Springs man is dead after he lost control of his 1000 cc 2013 Arctic Cat Wildcat side by side UTV.

The accident happened on Saturday at around 5 p.m. in the area of mile marker 9 off of JQS Road near Rifle.

Authorities responded to the scene and upon arrival found Tod Sellie, 54, deceased.

An investigation revealed Sellie was crossing a snow bank on the road with his UTV when he lost control, and rolled down a steep embankment for several hundred yards.

The Garfield County Coroners Office has determined he died due to multiple blunt force injuries and said he was not wearing a helmet, though he was wearing his seat belt.

A toxicology report conducted reveals he had a blood alcohol content level of .111%.
