GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A recent national study ranks Grand Junction as the thirteenth best place to retire in the United States.
The study, released by home rental website Zumper, shows data analyzed from over 100 major metropolitan areas across the nation.
Those with the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce say over the last thirty years, the city of Grand Junction has made a name for itself as a great place to retire for various reasons.
"The accessibility and quality of our health care facilities, our weather, our 300 days of sunshine, temperate climate. You can move here and have all four seasons, but not be bitterly cold or hot for months at a time," said Diane Schwenke with the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce.
The data was taken from the U.S. Census Bureau, FBI Crime Report, as well as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association.
