Grand Valley Transit Offers Travel Training

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Don't know how to ride the bus or aren't exactly sure what route to take? Grand Valley Transit has you covered.

Saturday morning the company provided a free "How To Ride The Bus" training for those who are unfamiliar on how to reach a certain destination, transferring buses, or simply paying fares.

The standard fare for a single ride is $1.50, but there are more options available --6 months, annual, and discounts for students for the semester.

The training also offers a free 11-ride fixed route pass to any individual 12 years of age and older who completes the travel training program.

Valdon Lewis, General Manager of GVT, explained the benefit of the program, "And it nibbles them to go out and use it on the regular bus. The fixed route bus the standard Grand Valley Transit service that you see going around town"
