MESA COUNTY, Colo. - In an effort to crack down on impaired drivers across the state, the Colorado State Patrol and the Colorado Department of Transportation report more than 300 drivers were arrested from their latest "Heat Is On" DUI campaign.
This campaign which ran from September 15th to October 23rd cited more than 18 hundred drivers across Colorado, and arrested 375 for DUIs. Those 375 arrests are up from 325 made from the same campaign last year.
In the Grand Valley, 9 total arrests were made on Halloween weekend, including 4 by the Grand Junction Police Department. 3 of the 9 total arrests were made on Halloween.
