GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - One local man filled his truck full of much needed supplies and delivered them today to Homeward Bound.
Tim Koch packed the bed of his truck with paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, and cereal this afternoon and dropped it off at the shelter. Along with his donations he also presented Homeward Bound with a $300.00 dollar check which can help the shelter with a current project.
Koch hopes his donations will inspire others in the community to give back.
"I'm hoping that everybody sitting out there watching this right now will get up and do the same thing that I've just done," said Koch.
"You don't have to do as much as I'm doing a can of corn or semi truck of toys whatever, just something inbetween because these are members of our community and they are having a little bit of a rough time and they could use a little help," said Koch.
"We really are in need of additional funding we're in the process of building an emergency shelter for children and women and that helps us get closer to that financial goal," said Heather Ripley of Homeward Bound.
Homeward Bound can always take donations like the ones Koch made, stop by their location if you're interested in donating.
