Mesa Mall Experiences Large Turn-Out for Black Friday

Shoppers Could be Seen Jumping from Store-To-Store

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - After an exciting rush of Grand Valley shoppers made their appearance at Mesa Mall Thursday night, Black Friday is finally here.

Shoppers could be seen jumping from shop-to-shop to check out the latest deals for this year's Black Friday and many are excited to knock-off items on their holiday shopping list to treat themselves to a gift at a marked-down price.

"Last night was the kick-off to the holiday season. It was the kick-off to Black Friday shopping and it was really exciting! We saw a lot of people here with bags in their hands and everything seemed very festive and fun, so it was a really exciting way to start the holiday year", says Tamara Krizman, the Marketing Director for Mesa Mall.

"Black Friday is fun but also busy at the same time", says Makayla Troustale who was shopping with her parents.

With such a busy day at Mesa Mall, we wanted to check how the turn-out looked like.

"The department stores that did open yesterday said they had a good turnout so we're excited to see that, and the consumers are extra excited to kick-off the holiday season, and exciting to see so many people come out, many who have visited us for many years, so we've enjoyed it."

It's not just about scoring the best deals that attract all these shoppers to mesa mall.

"We also have our Festival of Trees which is up and if people are looking to give back they can make a donation to many of these non-profits so there's a lot of other things going on than just those shopping deals."
