Mountain Lion Rescue In Grand Junction

A dramatic rescue of a mountain lion stuck up in a tree in northwest Grand Junction today. It happened in the back yard of a home off of J Road near 22 Road. CPW officers were called to the home where they first tranquilized the big cat and then had to climb up the tree to get it completely down. People at the scene tell KREX 5 News that CPW was going to tag the mountain lion and then relocate it. The above photo was taken by Kenneth Redding, whose home was the scene of today's rescue.
