GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The unemployment rate in Mesa County is 3.2%, which is an exciting low for many at the Mesa County Workforce Center. Since September is National Workforce Development Month, the Workforce Center is hosting several events for those who may still be searching for work.
On Monday, September 25, the Workforce Center hosted an Industry Panel Discussion - where roughly ten different employers shared information about their jobs with attendees. "If you've never been in that field before, it might be different than what you're thinking. And so, it was to give people a chance to really learn about what those opportunities are," said Celina Kirnberger, the business services supervisor with the Workforce Center.
The Workforce Center also held their Job Fair Boot Camp on Monday, in preparation for their Job Fair which is coming up on October 5 from 9-2 P.M.
There will also be a Linked In workshop on Tuesday, September 26 from 3-5 P.M.
