GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- - Bringing jobs to the Grand Valley has always been a goal for the city of Grand Junction, and now a company from Eagle County is relocating here after some incentives to relocate were approved by city council.
The company is called Sunshine Polishing Technology which is located about two hours away from Grand Junction. The Grand Junction Economic Partnership and city council worked together to help bring the business to the Grand Valley. City council approved an incentive package in which Sunshine received two acres of land at a reduced price. The land is located off of Riverside Park Drive. They also received a few tax credits.
Sunshine specializes in providing maintenance and restoration services to ski lifts and gondolas and it will add 11-15 jobs to the local economy by the end of this summer. GJEP expects construction on the $625,000 building to begin soon and also predicts this business will add a little over a million dollars to the local economy.
