New Interim Police Chief Named

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - With the impending departure of Grand Junction Police Chief John Camper, an interim chief has been named. 

Grand Junction Police Deputy Chief Mike Nordine is appointed as the Interim Chief by Grand Junction City Manager, Greg Caton.

Deputy Chief Nordine is a long time resident of grand junction and has served with the G.J.P.D. since 1983.

He has acted in multiple roles within the G.J.P.D. including Field Training Officer, School Resource Officer, Swat Commander, and Investigations Commander.  He has held his current position since 2013.

The appointment will become effective following Chief Camper's departure on December 1.
