Schwartz Campaigns at Fall Fest

Scwartz is running for Congressional District Three

FRUITA, Colo. - Thousands of residents gathered at the Fruita Fall Fest to wave in winter and say goodbye to summer with a U.S Congressional candidate being one of them.

The three day event spans all of downtown Fruita on Aspen Avenue attracting thousands to over 100 vendor booths, two live music stages and a carnival for the little ones.

Today featured a parade and before hand candidate for the third U.S Congressional district in Colorado, Democrat Gail Scwartz,  stopped by Best Slope Coffee to talk about the economy and the potential for the outdoor recreation industry.

The main stake for Schwartz's campaign: protecting public lands and she believes they go hand in hand.

"Let's manage the lands we have, lets make sure we're identifying and preserving our special places, like this monument, long-term because that is the underpinning of our economy." said Schwartz.

Schwartz is running against three term incumbent republican Scott Tipton on this November's ballot.
