Sold Out Show To Benefit Kids

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A good nine to ten months of work by volunteers finally came to stage this weekend at the Two Rivers Convention Center.

This afternoon HopeWest hosted day two of their annual holiday show.

The HopeWest Kids Program is a program that helps children and teens who have experienced a loss in their family or with their close friends.

Kids from Institute of Dancing Arts, a troop from Dance Works, and singer, Geneve Mitchell all contributed to this weekend's performance.

The benefit also hosted a silent auction before the show to raise money to support the program.

"Our Hope West Kids Program is completely dependent on philanthropy, so without this event the program wouldn't exist and without the generosity of our community the program would just go away" said Vice President of Development, Debbie Horwitz.

Last year the program helped around 650 children around the Grand Valley and they hope to achieve the same this year.
