State Rep. Willett Won't Seek Re-Election; Endorses Matt Soper

Yeulin Willett announced he won't seek re-election when his turn ends in 2019

WESTERN, Colo. - State Representative Yeulin Willett announced Monday he will step down when his current term comes to an end in January 2019.

Willett, who represents House District 54, is now currently serving his second term in the Colorado legislature.

He was re-elected back in 2016.

Willett said he's looking forward to spending more time with his wife and family and less time on the road to and from Denver

In his place Willett has endorsing Matt Soper.

Soper is a fourth generation Coloradoan who grew-up in delta, and attended Colorado Mesa University.

He's a professional researcher and writer who serves clients in the private sector with areas of expertise in law and history.

He was also appointed, as a republican, to the 7th judicial nominating commission.
