Vandalism Found throughout the Hanging Lake Trail

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. - Those with the White River National Forest are working with authorities in Glenwood Springs to find who is responsible for the fresh graffiti discovered on multiple rocks and trees up and down the Hanging lake trail.

The word "blest" with an accompanying arrow was found painted on trail infrastructure, and Forest Service volunteers said the removal of these markings will cost upwards of $3,000.

They say if vandalism like this continues to occur at the location, it could result in closures of the trail until staffing is available to address the current issues.

If you know who is to blame for the graffiti you are urged to call the Eagle-Holy Cross Ranger District at (970) 827-5715.
