Warrant Issued for Second Suspect for Palisade Homicide

Michael Anthony DuPont Wanted for Murder

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.

Investigators with the Mesa County Sheriffs Office have obtained an arrest warrant for Michael Anthony DuPont, 34, in connection with the October 16th homicide of Paul Davis.

Dupont is facing charges of Murder in the First Degree, Aggravated Robbery, and First Degree Burglary, and he is currently held at the Denver County Jail on a Parole Hold as well as unrelated drug Charges.

Authorities say DuPont is the second suspect tied to Davis' death, as Matthew Mitchell,37, was arrested in January by Officers on the front range, after a First Degree Murder warrant was issued by the Mesa County Sheriffs Office.

Officials with the MCSO say the investigation into the case is still ongoing and they anticipate more arrests will be made.
