Woman is Hospitalized After Alleged Fight with Boyfriend

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A Grand Junction man was arrested after authorities said he sent his girlfriend to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department, just before 8:30 Thursday morning, officers received reports of an unconscious woman in the 2800 block of Hall Avenue.
Detectives said Oscar Rodriguez, 24 admitted to two separate physical altercations between him and his 21-year-old girlfriend.

Rodriguez told authorities that on two occasions he pushed the victim to the ground, and both times she went unconscious, and was left several hours.

His girlfriend was transported to an area hospital.

At this time her condition is unknown.

Rodriguez was taken into custody, charged with second degree assault, and domestic violence.

He's being held on a no bond hold, pending his first court appearance.

An arrest affidavit revealed the couple were involved in a domestic dispute earlier this year.
