2017 Sets Home Run Record at JUCO

The 2017 was a record setting year for the Junior College World Series as 66 home runs were hit during the tournament.

The 63rd home run broke the previous record of 62 set back in the 2009 World Series.  On Saturday's championship game, San Jacinto's Herbert Iser sent a bomb over the scoreboard for the record setting 63rd homer.

The big bats of Chipola hit a tournament best 21 home runs led by second baseman Jose Caballero and first baseman Reynaldo Rivera, each with five a piece.  They were both just one home run shy of tying the individual record of six.
