CMU WB: Mavericks Extend Win Streak to Eight

CMU takes down Westminster for second conference win

The CMU women's basketball team extended its win streak to eight games this season in a dominating win over Westminster Thursday night.

The scoring started early and often for Mesa. The Mavericks scored 22 points in the first quarter and lead the Griffins by 19 points at half time.

Mesa dominated play in the paint with 32 points compared to the Griffins' 16.  The Mavericks also contributed 31 points off the bench in the 83-52 win.

Erin Reichle led the Mavs with 15 points.  Karina Brandon and Kelli Van Tassel also scored double digits in the win.

Mesa improved to 8-0 on the year and 2-0 in RMAC play. The Mavs travel to Durango to play Fort Lewis on December 8.  Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
