CMU women's basketball is closing out the regular season with three home games before the RMAC tournament.

Right now CMU sits in third place in the RMAC standings, one game behind UCCS for second place. The Mavs can't catch the first place CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves, although they can improve their RMAC tournament seeding and secure an opening round home game.

To close out the regular season, first up is Black Hills State this Saturday. The Mavs lost to the Yellow Jackets in late January, committing 25 turnovers in the loss. Mavericks head coach Taylor Wagner knows the importance of this game for both teams.

"We want to stay where we can get a first round home game for the RMAC playoffs, said head coach Taylor Wagner. "So it's an important game for both of us. I expect them to be very aggressive and physical with us and that they'll give us their best shot."

The Mavs and Yellow Jackets tip-off at 5:30 p.m. this Saturday night.
