CMU Women's Lacrosse Starts 2018 Nationally Ranked

For the first time ever, the CMU women's lacrosse program enters the its season as a nationally ranked team.

The Mavericks check in as the 22nd ranked team in Division II according to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.  Two other RMAC teams made the cut in the preseason poll.  Lindenwood, a 2017 NCAA semifinalist, is ranked third and 2017 RMAC Tournament champ, Regis, is ranked ninth.

The Mavericks return a total of four All-RMAC team selection players.  In 2018, Erin Koehler was named RMAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year while Olivia Hayden earned a selection to the Preseason All-RMAC Team.

The Mavericks being the 2018 season on February 17 against Fort Lewis at Walker Field.
