Former Colorado Mavericks soccer star, Roy Abergil, has gone pro after signing with the Israeli Premier League club Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv FC.
The Israeli native racked up numerous awards during his playing days at Mesa, including being named a First Team-All American and the South Central Region Player of the Year in 2016. He finished second in the entire nation with 23 goals scored in his senior season, setting a new all-time single season record for CMU. That record was previously set by Abergil himself, who scored 14 goals his junior year.
In 2016, he helped lead the Mavs to their third straight NCAA tournament appearance, along with an RMAC regular season title and tournament championship.
