The Grand Junction Rockies 2017 season may have come to end without a shot a Pioneer League title, but the Rockies organization still has one more shot to win something else.
The Rockies are up for the John H. Johnson President's Award. The President's Award is Minor League Baseball's top award to recognize a franchise's stability and its contributions to its community.
Nominated by the Pioneer League, the Rockies raised over $100,000 for local organizations this year while seeing fan attendance increase for the second straight year.
Winning clubs in the past were announced in early November.
