Maverick Lacrosse Shines in First Night Game of Season

A rowdy crowd and an active Mavericks offense led to the fifth straight win for #8 Colorado Mesa men's lacrosse, cruising to an 11-5 victory over the Maryville Saints.

The Mavericks (5-0, 1-0 RMAC) scored early and often. Junior Jack Griffin tallied two of his four goals of the game in the first half, propelling CMU to a 9-3 halftime lead.

Mesa totaled 17 shots on goal to the Saints 12. CMU remains undefeated on the season. They play the third-ranked University of Tampa Spartans Saturday night from Salt Lake City, UT.
