Wildcats Can Lockup Back-to-Back League Titles with Win

Win over Grand Junction would lockup back-to-back league title for the Wildcats

If game two of the season series with the Fruita Monument Wildcats and Grand Junction Tigers is anything like game one, it's going be a "throw the records out the window" kind of deal.

The one-win Tigers held a top-ten ranked Wildcats squad to a tie score at the half, and it wasn't until mid-way through the third quarter when the Wildcats pulled away for a 49-34 victory.

A win Tuesday night would secure back-to-back Southwestern League titles for Wildcats, and like the boys team, a win heading into playoffs would build some momentum for the Wildcats, considering the girls are coming off a loss in Durango on Saturday.

Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. at Grand Junction High School.
