Ethan Noah, Anchor of KREX's Wake Up Western Slope

Ethan Noah anchors Wake Up Western Slope and KREX 5 News at Noon. He’s a self proclaimed nerd and prides himself on the amount of useless knowledge he’s stored in his cranium.

He was born in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in the quaint little town of Jacksonville, Alabama. After spending his high school years playing tennis and captaining the quiz bowl team, it was time to head west, this time to college at The University of Alabama. It was there he discovered his love for broadcasting, from starting a weekly radio show to interning in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham. All this while of course cheering on the Crimson Tide to a total of 3 National Championships during his 4 years there.

After college, it was a two year stint cutting his teeth at the Nexstar affiliate, WMBB, in Panama City, Florida as a producer covering everything from political scandals to hurricanes. From there, he headed west again, this time to Albuquerque, New Mexico to continue his producing career. It was his time there that he discovered his love for the “Four Corner” states, along with picking up a penchant for spicy cuisine.

Ethan spent a little over a year in New Mexico before leaving the broadcast industry.

Fast forward 6 years, 3 more states, and a slew of jobs later, he’s back and thrilled to be waking up with the western slope every morning!

When Ethan’s not bringing you the latest news, you can find him at any local trivia night (Copper Club’s is his favorite), exploring all the Western Slope’s outdoor goodness, or trying the latest restaurants throughout the Grand Valley. He also likes to stay involved in the community, serving on Fruita’s downtown advisement board.

He wants to hear from you! If you have any news tips, food recommendations, or just want to say “Roll Tide,” shoot him an email at
