Colorado driver license offices down

Colorado News

UPDATE: Service has been restored and normal operations have resumed.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Those looking to obtain or renew a driver’s license will have to wait. We are hearing of nation-wide outages of driver licenses at DMV offices.

At about 8:45 Monday morning, the Colorado Department of Revenue tweeted that all driver’s license offices were experiencing an outage.

In the tweet, they stated that offices were unable to issue documents and that there is no ETA for a resolution.

We have heard reports from Rhode Island and Virginia, as well, that DMV and driver license offices there were also running into outages via a third-party system.

CDOR has not stated if DVMs were affected in the state, but it appears the documents affected in all these cases are driver’s licenses.

We will keep you updated as this issue is worked out.
