Grand Junction, Colo.-Starting today, employers are given a standard for how many breaks to give their salaried employees depending on their worked hours. Previously, Colorado wage and hour laws applied to only a few specific sectors. The new changes will affect nearly all salaried employees, except in a few cases.
The biggest change is set to happen on July 1st of 2020, when salaried employees making $35,568 or less will now get overtime pay. This number is set to continue rising until 2024, when the threshold becomes $55,000.
