GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (KREX) — A gas explosion at a Glenwood coffee shop sent one person to the hospital and triggered a mass evacuation of nearby buildings.
Glenwood Springs Firefighters responded to reports of a gas explosion at the Daily Bread on Sunday at around 5:30 p.m. Crews arrived at the scene and found the front window had been blown out by a gas explosion that left active flames at the source of the gas leak.
Emergency responders transported one person to Valley View Hospital with minor injuries from the incident.
The Garfield County Fire Investigation team is investigating the cause of the fire.
