DENVER (AP) — Denver police said a man was detained Wednesday night after driving his car through a group of people protesting a grand jury’s decision not to indict officers in the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor.
Police said no injuries were reported. The Denver Post reported that at least one person was hit near the state Capitol but she said she wasn’t badly hurt. The driver had pulled into an area where a small group of protesters were rallying and stopped after they surrounded his vehicle. The protesters shouted at the driver to turn around. He eventually accelerated into several protesters standing in front of his vehicle.
