Should gray wolves be re-introduced into the Colorado countryside? That’s the question facing the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Agency.
CPW held a meeting today on wolf reintroduction.
The CPW Commission is preparing a plan to reintroduce wolves to Western Colorado.
That measure was approved by voters in November.
CPW plans to reintroduce gray wolves to the Western Slope by December 2023.
Llast week, a bill to limit reintroduction of the wolves was introduced by State Representative Matt Soper and State Senator Ray Scott.
It would only apply to counties which approved the measure. Since much of Western Colorado is concerned about how wolves would impact livestock on ranches.
