ASPEN, Colo. — For the third time in three months, a bear has attacked a human in Aspen.
Wildlife officials are now begging people keep garbage and other edibles secure from the animals.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife says a black bear bit a restaurant manager on Sunday while he was trying to scare the animal out of a trash bin.
CPW says if they can locate the bear, it will be killed because it no longer fears humans, and is likely to attack again.
The bear was said to be searching a trash can for food.
An Aspen hiker was bit by a bear in May, and a man was scratched on the arm by another bear in July.
Officials worry the increase in bear attacks will result in serious injuries.
