New Bill Addresses Tobacco, Vaping in Colorado

Colorado News

DENVER- House Bill 1001 would raise the purchasing age for vaping and tobacco products to 21, which would fall in line with current federal law.

The bill recently passed the House Committee on Health and Insurance.

The bill would also require retailers to obtain a license through the state to increase enforcement of the new law.

If retailers are caught selling to minors, their license could be taken away.

The law would also crack down on advertising in stores that appeal to youth.
