GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Anyone traveling to or from Denver Wednesday is cautioned to take road work into account.
CDOT will be conducting rockfall blasting near Idaho springs from 9:00 am to noon on December 18th with I-70 to close in both directions.
The highway will be shut down between exits 234 and 248.
In addition, all I-70 eastbound traffic will be stopped at the Silverthorne exit beginning at 8:15 a.m.
local traffic will have access to Idaho springs. anyone driving across the entire I-70 mountain corridor should plan their travels for earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon, or take an alternate route to avoid this three-hour closure. Motorists should expect significant delays.
