COLORADO– Two propositions are topping ballots across Colorado on election day. Both measures were referred to the ballot by the democrat-led legislature.
Proposition CC is a measure that lets state government keep, rather than refund excess tax revenue.
Supporters hope its passage would allow the state government to invest billions of dollars in modernizing schools and roads and keep up with rapid population growth.
Backers of Proposition DD, a bi-partisan sports betting proposal, are counting on the willingness of Colorado voters in past elections to approve so-called “sin taxes.”
The measure would bring sports gambling out of the black market, and tax it with the funds going towards water conservation projects.
