COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The search area for an 11-year-old Colorado boy missing for over two weeks has expanded.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that searchers are looking for Gannon Stauch in northern El Paso County as well as southern Douglas County but it didn’t say why. The search originally focused on the area around the boy’s neighborhood on the southeastern edge of Colorado Springs.
Gannon was reported missing Jan. 27. Authorities called him a runaway when they first asked for the public’s help finding him but later said he was considered a missing child because of his age and the time he’s been gone.
