- Monarch
Colorado has a total of 28 mountain resorts, according to colorado.com. Many of those resorts are on the western slope including:

- Breckenridge
- Buttermilk
- Crested Butte Mountain Resort
- Hesperus Ski Area
- Kendall Mountain Ski Area
- Powderhorn Mountain Resort

The first snowfall was reported on Colorado peaks on September 11, meaning ski season might be just around the corner.
