City of Palisade hints at festivals to return this summer


PALISADE, Colo. — Although COVID isn’t finished yet out, the City of Palisade is ready to book up the calendar. Palisade’s mayor has a message for longtime residents and visitors.

“You’ll see ‘Brews and Cruise‘, you will see our Peach Festival, you’ll see our Farmer’s Market and then, later on in the fall, Wine Festival;” Greg Mikolai announces, “and I think you’re just gonna see more activity, more people getting out, I think we’re ready for it.”

What Palisade businesses are ready for is to see what spring and summer have in store for them. After transitioning to a new normal, Palisade business owners want to make use of everything they have by trying new ideas.

Nana’s Fruit & Jam Shack is famous for its fruity spreads. now it will serve up some frozen delights.

“Nana’s is going to be serving ice cream, after she gets the rest of her certification, and we hope to incorporate the parklet out front,” Charlotte Meiners shares.

Mayor Mikolai assures that his team approaches all events as if they will happen.
