COVID-19 Vaccine Saturday Drive-Up Saturday Event

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Saturday, March 20th, 2021 is the first of several Drive-Up Vaccine Events.  MarillacHealth is partnering with COVIDCheck Colorado and Central High School to reach out and vaccinate thousands of community members, especially the underserved and our Spanish-speaking communities.

The Drive-Up Clinic will be held in the Central High School parking lot.  The March 20th event is following the state guidelines of Phase 1B.4 for vaccinations.  This includes People age 50 yrs and older; frontline and essential workers in industries such as restaurants, food service, manufacturing, US postal service, transportation, faith leaders and others.  You can see the full list at

Ivan Coziahr, Chief Operations Officer at MarillacHealth says “It is our plan to fully vaccinate nearly 5,000 community members in just six Saturdays.  This is a major undertaking that has taken countless hours of preparation and will require nearly 3,500-man hours over this period.  We encourage everyone who is eligible to sign up via the weblink, phone or to stop by our Vaccination Sign-up Center located at the PeachTree Shopping Center in Clifton.”     Individuals can even show up at the event and will be helped to register right there. 

Saturday Vaccine Clinics begin March 20th.   March 20, 27 and April 3 events will administer the first dose. The following three Saturdays, April 10, 17, 24 are reserved for the second dose.

A Sign-Up Vaccine Center is located at the Peachtree Shopping Center – east end of the parking lot.  Marillac has a COVID Test site office trailer set up and will be registering individuals for the vaccine events.  Register Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm beginning Monday, March 15.
