GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Colorado Mesa University (CMU) and the Mesa County Workforce Center will be hosting the second annual Grand Valley Career & Job Fair in hopes of “connecting qualified candidates to employers in need.” The event will allow employers to meet applicants on the spot, saving valuable time for both the business and the potential employee.

“Every spring, over a thousand CMU graduates prepare to walk across the stage to receive their diploma. Most of those students go directly into the workforce,” said CMU Director of Career Services, Sadye Saad. “When you take those recent graduates plus our alumni network, employers are sure to find the right person or people for the job.”

Over 100 employers will be in attendance, giving job seekers a wide variety of both part-time and full-time employment opportunities.

“Our strong collaboration with Colorado Mesa University continues to grow and this event is a direct result of our joint efforts. The Grand Valley Career and Job Fair is a great opportunity for our businesses to connect with local talent and fill their hiring needs,” said Mesa County Workforce Center Director Curtis Englehart.

The event will be taking place at Lincoln Park, across from Lincoln Park Barn, on Wednesday, April 27, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Anyone who is currently looking for a job is welcome to attend and is encouraged to come well-prepared and dressed for success.
