WWII B-25 MITCHELL visits GRAND JUNCTION

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo — The Flying Legends of Victory tour has made a stop in Grand Junction and it has brought one of its own bombers.

The B-25 Mitchell, Maid in Shade, touched down at Grand Junction Regional Airport on Monday.

The bomber was used for high-and-low-level bombing, strafing, photo-reconnaissance, and submarine patrol.

Its most notable mission was the historic raid over Tokyo in 1942 by the Doolittle Raiders.

The aircraft will be open to the public for tours Tuesday thru Thursday from 9-6 p.m. and Friday thru Sunday from 2-6 p.m. To schedule a ride, book online at www.azcaf.org/tour or call 480-462-2992.
