GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The City of Grand junction is excited to dedicate the new Bighorn Sheep statues at the Redlands roundabout.

The dedication will take place on Monday, April 3 at 3:00 p.m. on the southwest side of the roundabout in the Hartmann Farmhouse parking lot at 2551 Broadway. Local artist Pavia Justinian created the sculptures using salvaged car parts.

The Arts and Culture Commission selected Justinian to create the artwork for the roundabouts back in 2021, but she had been eyeing up the location since the roundabout was built.

I’ve been looking at that roundabout since they put it in and just thinking that it really needed some art. It looked so empty.
