GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.– Kayla Holst grew up playing sports around a lot of boys. So joining the marine corp came pretty naturally for her. During her 8 years in the marines, Holst volunteered to deploy twice.
As a civilian holst worked in public relations and communications. So when a job doing just that for the VA medical center opened up, she knew it was a perfect fit.
Holst has been a patient at various VA medical centers for the last 10 years. This combined with her experience in the military is what helps Holst understand what other veterans are going through, and what resources they need. So now Holst dedicates her days to serving those who served the country.
If you are a veteran interested in services the VA has to offer, visit their Facebook page, or give them a call at (970) 242-0731.
