GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — A Mesa County Sheriff’s office reports a Deputy found an abundance of drugs and cash during a traffic stop for a fictitious license plate.

The deputy stopped the car near the Fruita exit of I-70, January 9, 2023. Deputies then conducted a voluntary search of the vehicle, reportedly finding an estimated 60,000 blue pills consistent with fentanyl, 5 ounces of cocaine and a large sum of US currency.

30-year-old Henry Espinal-Meza was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility. He’s currently charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute.
